Play Project
Play Project Together
Big feelings are part of childhood. Our programs use a relationship-first and restorative approach. Play Facilitators support children by helping them regulate, reconnect, problem-solve, and return to the group whenever possible. We believe behaviour is communication, and we focus on teaching skills rather than punishment.
Our goal is always to create a positive, successful, and supportive experience for every child. Before registration, we work hard to help families choose the program that best matches their child's needs. If, after a child begins participating, we determine that the program environment is not the right fit or that we are unable to provide the level of support needed for a child to participate successfully, we will communicate with the family and discuss next steps. In some situations, The Play Project reserves the right to discontinue a child's participation and provide a refund for any remaining unused sessions. This decision is never about a child being "too much" or not belonging. It is about ensuring every child has access to an environment where they can feel successful, supported, and included.
No. The Play Project is not designed around competition, performance, or achievement. It is designed around connection. Through purposeful play, children practice the skills that help them thrive: communication, confidence, flexibility, problem-solving, emotional regulation, and friendship. Because play is how children learn best.
